Keep It Numb is a desensitizing cream formulated with 5% lidocaine for anal use. The cream is designed to reduce sensation in the anal area and begins working within moments of application. Apply a small amount to the fingertips and rub onto the external anal opening, or penetrate gently and apply internally as well. Once numbness develops, use a separate water-based or silicone-based lubricant to maintain glide during penetration. Because the cream numbs the area, sensation of pain or injury is reduced; exercise caution and proceed gradually to allow the anal tissue to acclimate to stretching.
