The plunger-operated barrel allows controlled application by pressing down the plunger after filling. To fill, pull the plunger completely out and pour lubricant directly into the barrel from the bottle, or submerge the entire assembly in a tub-style lubricant container and pull the plunger up to draw lubricant in.
